We Got Adopted !!!

We Got Adopted !!!

Although we are not a rescue, we assist are friends in getting homes once they have been rehabilitated or, in some cases, dogs that we have found and returned to his or her home.

It is very important to assist us in placing these wonderful animals and here are some of the dogs we have placed - Enjoy !

Chyna

6 month old Chyna has been adopted. We screened a number of people and, if you work in adoption, sometimes you just know you found the right home. That was definitely the case here.

Chyna was part of a litter that was no longer wanted and turned over to a rescue that had limited room so we took in 2 of the sisters. One of our family members adopted her sister and has a great home and now Chyna has all that as well.

To sweeten the deal, not only does she have Brent and Tara as her parents, she has Monk, a sharpei to play with as well.

We all love to hear happy endings and this is a great example. They fell in love with Chyna the minute the saw her. This is what keeps things rolling.

Gypsy

Our Gypsy finally gets the home she deserves !!! This little girl was another abandoned puppy.  She just turned 1 year old and for her birthday she got a loving home with a buddy ..... whose name is Buddy!!!

Gypsy is an absolute sweetheart and her new parents fell in love with her immediately. When she finally got to her new home, after a few phone calls and some direction. She settled in beautifully.

We have all been routing for her from day 1. I can't tell you how many times I have heard the "abandoned litter" story, and how Gypsy and her sister Deana, were part of more than one of those chapters. Now she is a part of a different story with a happy ending :)

Laker

Little Laker is merely 5 months old and the minute he had finished his inoculation course, we put him up for adoption. He was up for a little less than a week and we started receiving calls.

One couple wanted him so badly, they drove from San Diego to come and collect him. They were in love with his pictures.

Laker hasn't been able to go anywhere because he hadn't finished his shots but the couple took him for his first official walk and did wonderfully.

Although Laker has only known us throughout his life, and was a little nervous at first, he soon came around and left to take off to his new home. To think that his litter had lost so many and he had survived just goes to show happy endings are possible.

Handsome Dan

Dan is  a very special case and has the most wonderful story. The old adage " ... happily ever after" certainly comes true here. This is very real and bitter sweet situation.

Dan has a forever home with a wonderful family and has all the love and affection he could handle.

If you are not familiar with Dan's history please click on his picture and read about him, this truly is a dog that had angels surrounding him after all he had suffered for over two years. Literally from the gutter to the home. We love you guys, you are truly angels.

Abi

Abi is a 1year old Anatolian Shepherd. She weighs in at around 90lbs and is everything you can expect from this breed. Loyalty, Strength, Beauty and every bit of a sweetheart that ever walked on four legs.

At an adoption event she was adopted by a lovely couple who fell in love with her. It doesn't surprise me that they did.

She came to us with a little food aggression. Nervous around certain dogs and a lot of energy. She goes into this home with a loving of small animals and a stable state of mind. I wish Abi's all the best. You have a fantastic friend.

Sushi

Sushi is a beautiful German Shepherd barely 2 years old that we introduced to the pack for rehabilitation. There were very few issues outside of a little food aggression and a lack of social skills which weren't hard to fix.

Sushi is an incredibly loyal and intelligent dog, just as you would expect of this breed. She was a little underweight and obviously had not gotten much care.

Sushi was found cowering on the side of a busy highway by a passer-by who rescued her and brought her to a local rescue. We were asked to evaluate her and show her some love. It didn't take long for her to settle in and ready for adoption.

I'm pleased to let you know that Sushi has a wonderful home and another Shepherd brother called Zeus (aptly named for his size).

Sheba & Tonka

These beautiful girls came to us via a local rescue. They were incredibly dependent on each other and at the time couldn't be separated. They stayed with us for quite some time and got along with the pack famously.

I am happy to tell you that both sisters have found wonderful homes. I was a little disappointed when Sheba got a home first, but the following week, Tonka was taken to a loving home as well.

I miss them very much but I am happy to see them in a forever home. They are wonderful examples of  rehabilitation from serious separation anxiety.

Goldie & Snowy

Goldie & Snowy were wandering around our neighborhood while we were on our way to buy dog food. They were about 10 miles from home and very disorientated.

Goldie jumped in the car right away, as you would expect of a Golden Retriever. Snowy, however, made us jump through hoops in order to get a hold of her. We spent a good 45 minutes trying to get her in the car and off the street. Several times I had to flag down traffic to prevent her from being hit.

Not supervising your pets can be very dangerous for them and in some cases for you as well.

In this case, one of the dogs was tagged and we found the owner and returned the dogs to their home - Happy ending for what could have been a disaster.

Troy

Troy now has a wonderful home with a fantastic family. He has a friend as well. The two Danes are playing together and doing well. Troy was a little on the skinny side when we first got him, but with some tips on diet, his new family assures us that they will put some meat on him ! I miss my buddy, but I'm happy that he is getting the treatment he deserves in a new home and a loving pack. We Love You Guys !!!

Thai

Here is one my favorite rehabilitations within the pack. He's a Pit Bull called "Thai". His beautiful, fiery brindle coat matches his temperament ... flawless ! A totally misunderstood breed and in this guy is a perfect example of that statement.

I have walked Thai down the street, passing barking dogs, people jogging, kids skateboarding and been in a dog park. Never has Thai even given the indication he would be aggressive in any way. He is gentle, affectionate, loyal and sees himself as a lap dog. I sit at my computer or watch TV, Thai is there at my feet. When I sleep he sleeps on the floor next to my side of the bed. When I walk he is right beside me along with the rest of the pack. He is intelligent and of good nature. I can talk about this guy all day ..... Needless to say Thai has found a home with a loving family and is doing wonderfully.
