Abby

Abby is a pit mix with a lot of energy. Unfortunately she has issues with her position in the home and when the boss man is away she takes over.

This particular instance Abby's dominance over her owner has lead to a few aggressive outbreaks which led to severe bites.

They don't want Abby to be put to sleep and called us in for help with this dog. It wasn't a hard fix, but it will take time. Abby has to earn the trust of her owner while they reclaim their home.

Teddy

PART II - Teddy is Lorenzo's competition. He is a cuddly 11 year old Chow. The physical condition of both Lorenzo and Teddy require delicate attention. While his counterpart is vying for the top spot with sure fire signs of  fear aggression, Teddy is spoiled rotten and shows his side of the equation .... Separation Anxiety.

To keep things as clear as possible in this incredible mix, we'll follow Teddy's steps to rehabilitation separately. When his owner merely leaves the room, he attempts to get the attention he wants by barking.

Of course this exacerbates the situation, because with that response, triggers the other dogs aggressive response ..... This is a toughy. Click on Teddy to follow the story of both dogs.

Lorenzo

PART I - Lorenzo is a 5 year old Chow mix with issues relating to the loss of a pack leader. He lives in a home with 2 other dogs and every time he sees a particular member of the pack (another Chow, Teddy) ..... over time the situation has become increasingly unpleasant.

This particular case takes a tremendous amount of patience and perseverance, because this rivalry amongst pack members is making life very difficult for their owner. There is no quick fix in this case. This is not only a battle for attention, but it is mixed with separation anxiety, fear aggression and a fight for the top spot in the home.

Dan The Man !!!

Dan is a very special client. He came to us via our friends at the Kris Kelly Foundation. Dan has been badly treated, tied up in a dirty alley next to a dumpster. This is a sad situation for any dog. Now Dan has been socialized and loved.

Dan and I went to show him off on "Good Day LA" and after screening a lot of calls he has a home with a fantastic family. This is a heartwarming story that is literally a dogs "Rags to Riches" example.

The Puppy Previously Know As ....

Tai is a beautiful puppy that, even though so young, has had an already eventful life. It's hard to understand a dog that was rescued in Taiwan, moved to the States and then adopted by a lovely family.

This little lady is a baby, mouthy and active, but has no discipline. When we went to our pet parents home it was about the dog biting, but it turned out to be something else more important.

The Psycho Flossie ???

When you roll over the picture it is NOT an indication of this little lady's personality. We caught it and thought  it would be great put on the page. The Psycho nickname is given due to the fact that this one is crazy hyper !!! She took over the home and her parents just don't know what to do.

Our Paranoid Pup !!!

Even though this isn't our first home rehabilitation, this is the first time we are following the progress of a rehab with us.We thought we would highlight this particular case to show how hard it is for rescues to get the help they need and illustrate how lucky this little cutie is. We also want to show you how much time and effort goes into rescue, rehab and rehousing and how important it is to adopt from shelters to save these dogs.

The Runaway Harley !!!

Harley is a beautiful Husky with a wanderlust ! At any opportunity he'll go walkabout WITHOUT his owners. Many times they have received calls from good Samaritans who have "captured" this lovable guy, but now they want to fix it to keep this 5 year old pack member safe. In the process we bump into an old friend of ours and want to solve a little bad blood between them both. Click on the picture to learn about our day with Harley.

Ferocity at it's worst !!!

Mongi is a pit bull mix with a very bad attitude !! He has not had the best of lives .... being left on a doorstep at 4 months old, literally with a note saying "Please Adopt Me" who would say no to a puppy??? Now he is 80 lbs and taking over !!! This guy was totally out of control when I arrived. Having dominant breed dogs is a lot of responsibility and now all you need to do is click on his picture and read about our day with Mongi.

The Three Musketeers !!!

Here we are visiting three dogs in LA, who are challenging each other for the dominant role in the house and outside .... As we should know by now, the dominant role and responsibility belongs to the owners. Being the pack leader is essential to balance our friends needs. In a multi - dog house ..... you better be the leader, or you'll be in for a ride you don't want to take. Here we have Vivian, Tara and Judas. A Doberman, Siberian Husky and a Pit Bull. Yeah it sounds awful, but really all these guys are easy to figure out. They were well behaved and did everything we asked of them. Click on the dog to see how our day went with this pack.

I just want to be friends !!!

We have visited our friend Buddy a couple of times, because we want to make sure that he and his family are happy !!! Fredy and his wife are very happy with the way Buddy has taken on his new life. He is a perfect example of aggression to placid. Even though Buddy wasn't that off the rail, there's always a challenge. Check these guys out, both owner and dog did an awesome job !!!
