A Big Boy With A Big Heart
Dan

This is Dan before he was rescued by The Kris Kelly Foundation. A very sad example of how badly this boy has been treated.

Dan is 3 years old and has spent most of his life in this horrible environment. He was chained up next to a dumpster, surrounded by trash, feces and urine. Next to him a plastic butter container being used as his water bowl. This situation is unsanitary to say the least.

He is underweight, lonely, sickly and weak. Our hope is to find Dan a home and a family that will give him the love he deserves.

Linzi Glass was the one to come to Dan's rescue. She was so appalled by his story she made it her crusade to place Dan in a great home. She called us and asked if we could help, with the sponsorship of a wonderful family, we were able to put Dan on the track to rehabilitation.

Originally, we were told that Dan could not be with other dogs. For me that was a challenge I couldn't turn down.

Dan's first day with us was purely evaluation. Its important for Dan to trust humans again and even though he has received a lot of love and attention so far, it was up to me to establish a bond with him. Without it I wouldn't be able to get him ready for a new home.

Dan loves people. He loves affection and walks (just like any other dog), however, I must say Dan has responded with a lot of enthusiasm and discipline. Leading this guy is a treat, but it does require a strong will to be this dogs pack leader.

Dan is now socialized with my pack and getting along well with everyone. It's easy to fall for this guy he is a real trooper and an awesome dog.

He is walked twice a day, plays with his ball and after all that will lay at your feet and snooze away - he does snore, but its kinda cute ;)

Dan has found his forever home and is loving his new family as much as they love him. I am so happy that he got what he deserved, what every pet deserves .. A stable, loving home in which he can thrive.

I'm proud of you Dan, we love you!
